Nakomis Sprouts 'Six-Finger' Plan on 'Big Brother' You know those little metal balls Humphrey Bogart as Capt. Queeg was constantly working in "The Caine Mutiny"? Someone needs to get "Big Brother 5's" Jase some of those.Seriously, the dude is not taking his loss of power in the house well, as evidenced in the opening of Saturday's (Aug. 7). Instead of just rehashing Thursday's events in the show opening, the producers treat us to some post-eviction, pre-twin-revelation talk, and it's not pretty. After his oh-so-important set of bicep curls right after Scott leaves the house, Jase returns to the living room and calls Adria the biggest liar in the house. It looks like he's trying to unnerve her like he did with Diane a couple weeks ago, but Adria's not having it.Marvin then asks Jase if he's unhappy Marvin survived the vote. Jase pulls him aside and lies about who he voted for. Marvin not being stupid, he knows Jase voted to keep his boy Scott in the house, and tells the rest of the gang about it."Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining," quote machine Marvin tells the camera. "I didn't get here by fakin' the funk."Of course, as soon as Jase is done bad-mouthing Adria, her twin Natalie walks in, which helps explain his stunned silence. He later asks the camera, "How big a jackass am I?"I don't have the heart to kick a man when he's down. And hey, on the bright side, Jase gets more of the hair products now.Of course, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you. Jase may not know it yet, but he remains a big, high-haired target.Jen-komis winning Head of Household means Michael gets to see a picture of his biological dad for the first time. That, and a Flaming Lips CD, are the big items from home in the HoH room. Nakomis lets Michael keep the picture, and it's a nice little moment, untainted by the cynicism that pervades this show (and these recaps, it must be said). There's some boring stuff throughout the episode where Drew and Jase tell various people that the meathead portions of their personalities will die off now that head mook Scott is gone, but it doesn't really amount to much. But 20 minutes on the food competition just wouldn't be right.Especially since today's contest involves mouth-only rooting through pies of various types to retrieve cards with names of foodstuffs on them. In a typical "Big Brother" wedge move, there are also five cards marked "Eat" and one marked "Steal." Only those who end up with the Eat cards, plus HoH Nakomis, can have the full spread; everyone else gets peanut butter and jelly. So there's much goop on many faces, and Marvin, Karen and Michael each get an Eat card, while Natalie ends up with two. She fakes out her twin and gives the second card to Diane. Will, who's holding the Steal card, relieves Diane of her meal ticket, relegating her, Jase, Drew and Adria to PB&J.Meanwhile, Nakomis is turning out to be a really shrewd player. She floats what she calls a "six-finger plan" to her allies, and it seems pretty smart. The idea is to put up two "dummy" nominees for eviction, then control the veto game by having only her allies playing. Whoever wins the veto uses it on one of the two, and Nakomis puts up someone she really wants to see gone. Which pretty much means Jase. The only trick, she notes, is to have an out in case something strange happens in the veto game. She appears to have that by putting up Marvin along with Diane. If all goes according to plan, someone gets saved and replaced with Jase, who then joins his boy Scott and galpal Holly on the outside. A worst-case scenario for Nakomis and Co. is that either the mercurial Diane or strong player Marvin gets the boot, but their numbers advantage remains.None of this, though, is apparent to Jase after he finds out he's safe for now. He's convinced that his change-of-heart act has won everyone over, and the cliches about dodging bullets and the many lives of cats start to fly."Sorry, buddy, but it didn't happen," Nakomis tells the camera. Says Will: "This will be the sweetest revenge in 'Big Brother' history."Like we said, just because you're paranoid ...
